The American Student Dental Association (ASDA) is a leading national student-run organization that protects and advances the rights, interests and welfare of dental students.

We are the University of Maryland ASDA Chapter.

Who we are

  • ASDA (American Student Dental Association) is a leading national student-run organization that protects and advances the rights, interests and welfare of dental students.
  • ASDA represents close to 19,000 students from all the dental schools nationwide (including Puerto Rico).
  • The ASDA chapter at the University of Maryland is a part of District 3, which comprises of five dental schools in total: University of Pittsburgh, Temple University, University of Pennsylvania, Howard University and the University of Maryland.
  • We are one of the few schools which has an auto-enrolled ASDA membership, meaning a portion of your tuition has already paid for both your local and national ASDA dues.
  • As an ASDA member, you automatically receive membership to the American Dental Association (ADA), and have access to tons of information beneficial to you as a student and as a future dentist.
  • You can also register for free $50,000 life insurance, $2,000 disability insurance and many more perks!
  • We have many lunch-and-learns planned along with an Emergency Drill Session for the D1’s, and plenty of national conferences in Chicago, DC, and Anaheim! Get pumped up for a year full of great memories and opportunities to expand your horizons.
